In 2015 just after graduating, Ellen won a design competition established by the British Council and London College of Fashion to travel to Pekalongan, Indonesia.
The result was bigger than imagined and resulted in a showcased collaboration where London based textile designers; Ellen Rock (Nelly Rose) and Odette Steele were promoted to guest design of the full collection.
The ‘CO-IDENTITY’ Collection was born and is a key catalyst to Ellen’s career – winning the hearts of international audiences and international press. Inspired by each cultural identity. Each character will be palpably observed on the stage; Clashing modern colours and hand painted and batik typography and graphic prints brought by Ellen.
The collection was premiered as a 24 Look collection at Jakarta Fashion Week and went on to win the prestigious ‘Ones to Watch’ award from Fashion Scout at London Fashion Week
