In February 2018 Ellen Rock flew to reside and work alongside the Batik artisans of the Dian Pelangi studio.

As a commissioned textile artist she painted an array of designs directly onto silk and organic fabrics using her renowned ‘Abstract Batik’ style.

The designs were used in the DP Persona 2018 collection as the main print work and are now being sold internationally.

The inspiration for the designs was ‘Modest Retro’ and the painterly prints are inspired by records, and mid-century furniture.
